Department of Emergency Medicine (ER)

Introduction

The Department of Emergency Medicine (ER) is the window into the emergency department, and it supports emergency patients in cooperation with each department in our hospital. The main duties are as follows:

• We receive emergency patient requests from the emergency team.
• We board the medical helicopter and rush to the emergency site for medical care.
• We support emergency patients who come directly to the hospital.
• Patients who are judged to have a very high degree of urgency and severity will be treated by a physician at the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

Medical Service Content

1. A physician in charge of emergency treatment (ER) will first take care of this. We are mainly responsible for trauma. Medical care is carried out for the diseases of the internal medicine system in cooperation with internal medicine.
2. The whole body is examined and necessary checks are done comprehensively.
3. If they need the care of a specialized medical department after the initial treatment, each of those departments will continue to be in charge of treatment.
4. When hospitalization is necessary after the initial treatment, the department of specialized medicine (including the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine) is responsible for the treatment after hospitalization.
5. After the emergency treatment, we will refer them to a doctor and the hospital near their home according to the patient's wishes.
