Introduction
In April 2015, we opened the Department of Breast Care.
Breast cancer has the highest incidence in Japanese women. It is affecting many working generations and a variety of occupations need to be involved as a team. For this extremely important disease, with a goal that treatment means not only a "cure" but also "care" and we would like to provide medical treatment considering together with the patient in mind.
We treat patients with a disease on the breast. Diagnosis of breast disease, surgical treatment and chemotherapy or endocrine therapy or molecularly - targeted therapy and follow-up for breast cancer patients are mainly our professional practice.
The Department consists of surgeons and medical oncologist and resident, and is committed to providing the latest, most comprehensive breast treatments for our patients.
The multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer are carried out through cooperation between related specialists: surgeons, radiologists, plastic surgeons, pathologists, medical oncologists, specialized nurses, and technicians.
Patient care at our department
To those getting treatment
We use a total reservation system for the [Department of Breast
Care. In order to examine many people, we ask for your cooperation to reduce the
outpatient clinic waiting time, even ifjust a little.
The first time takes a long time before they finish the outpatient process. Please
come with plenty of time on that day. If you have had a cytology or a needle biopsy
at another facility and are diagnosed with breast cancer, please bring a letter of
referral.

Breast cancer screening is not perforlned in the Department of Breast Care. We focus on those people who have some kind of abnormality in the breast that will require treatment, or people who might have that possibility.
For this reason, we ask that people use the medical examination facilities, and clinics in the neighborhood for breast cancer checkups and follow-up care for benign tumor, and we will treat those people who have a diagnosis where treatment in our hospital is necessary and have a letter of referral.
This makes it possible to devote enough time to address the persons who really need treatment. Thank you very much for your cooperation. We will treat persons who do not have an abnormality which becomes a problem, or those whose treatment is finished and their state is stable, in cooperation with the nearby facilities. We may also ask that you go to other facilities for observation, when the postoperative treatment is stable. When there is a problem, we will actively examine it.
- We are actively working with plastic surgeons on breast reconstruction.
- There is drug treatment in consultation with an oncologist.
- Those who are young and concerned about future pregnancies and childbirth are also treated in cooperation with the Department of Gynecology.
- Please feel free to contact us if you are worried about the genetics of cancer. We are opening a cancer philosophy outpatient clinic. Please take advantage of this.

To the Medical Institutions
We established the Department of Breast Care in April 2015. We aim to set an international standard for medical care, patient-centered treatment, and team treatment based on our abundant experience and knowledge. In addition, we will be establishing a medical system in cooperation with neighboring medical facilities.
Regional cooperation
The number of breast cancer patients is increasing every year, and the age adjusted disease rate has led this to be the number one cancer in women. In addition, information on breast cancer is updated daily which makes it complicated, and medical professionals must think about more professional checkups, observation, precision testing, and treatment. With these conditions, we would like to aim for better breast treatment by collaborating closely with local medical institutions and doctors.
In addition, the Department of Breast Care has been conducting genetic counseling
outpatient services, and genetic counseling related to BRAC Analysis diagnostic
system examination and treatment is provided in cooperation with the following
facilities.

・Syoutokukai Sekishindo Hospital
